Red Newt Cellars Winery and Bistro, in Hector, will be closed today to honor Executive Chef & Co-Owner Debra Whiting, 52, who passed away in a automobile accident June 30. The Bistro — at 3675 Tichenor Road — will also host a memorial service for Whiting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
