Caludon Castle School (Coventry), England
Bilfinger Berger Project Investments has developed and is now operating a secondary school in Coventry, England. The new Caludon Castle School and Community College is a co-educational 11-18 comprehensive school of over 1,500 students with a sixth form of 307 serving North East Coventry.
Caludon Castle is a designated Business and Enterprise College and because of this, special emphasis was placed on ICT within the design of the school. Today, this innovative use of ICT can be found in each faculty. Students and staff can now benefit and enjoy fully equipped computer rooms including interactive whiteboards and video streaming.
In addition to the main educational assets, the new complex also comprises a sport and leisure centre (incorporating a 25 m four-lane swimming pool), dance and drama studios, gymnasium, external all-weather sports stadium, four multi-purpose playing courts and a learning resource centre equipped with IT facilities.
